I made this hat, designed for a man. Men are hard to crochet for sometimes. So I looked at a few patterns, and came up with this one. It's a basic beanie, but in one of the rows near the top, I crocheted in back loops only to make it have a more distinctive decreased wall. If that makes sense? I dunno. The orange strip is actually held on by the buttons, so it could be removed if you wanted, although the buttons are attached to the the hat, so it may look funny otherwise.
