Pink Hand-Bag
Here's a hand-bag I made a while back. It's made from 100% Acrylic Red Heart Yarn... it's double stranded to make it extra thick/sturdy. It has two compartments. The straps have wrapped handles for grips, and are attached with D-Links to add some shine and texture. I didn't use a pattern, just made it up from my imagination.

Nest for Eggs
A while back, I made some chicks and eggs. And I ended up making a nest to go with them. The Eggs/Chicks were from a pattern in a book I got, and I made the nest up myself. Just thought I'd finally get around to sharing it. I sorta made a base net out of one color of brown, then made twigs/sticks out of various stitches on a chain of different thicknesses and colors, then wove them through the net, like a basket effect, then secured them in place. Then made a few leaves, and sewed those on too.

Baby Hoodie
The first picture is before it was completed, but has a picture of the little book it's from "All for Baby", so you can kinda see what it looks like on. It's a made from super soft yarn, "Moda-Dea Baby Talk" yarn, Light Weight 3. I used a size G hook. The pattern called for Simply Soft Carron Yarn and size H, but I liked this yarn. It was a really simple pattern to follow, and a variety of stitches to keep you from getting bored. practically no sewing, except for the buttons, and 2 small holes in the armpits to close up. I deffinitely would make this pattern again.

Book Cover
This was a birthday gift for a nephew, that likes to read. Its made from 100% cotton and fits most standard sized paperback books. It has 2 buttons, and a tassel to loop around the two, to secure closed, and a bookmark secured at the top of the spine to use.
I didn't use a pattern, it's pretty basic. Just all SC's length to fit book top to bottom, then as many rows as it takes to fit around the cover of the book. Then a couple of pieces same amount of stitches top to bottom, long enough to make pockets for front/back cover (about half of the cover width). Once those 3 pieces are made, I laid them all together, and SC around all of it, working through loops of both pieces to secure them together. Added and sewed on bookmark tassel, and securing tassel, along with buttons.

Baby Hat
It's been a while since I made and shared something, I've got a few other things I've made that I haven't put up here. Maybe I will get to those tomorrow or the next day. But I really like how this turned out. :)
It's a baby hat from the little booklet "all for BABY!" featuring Caron's Simply Soft Yarn. I didn't have any of that on hand, and just used basic acrylic Red Heart yarn, same weighted yarn, but I plan to make this hat again and again, it turned out really well and it was an easy pattern to follow. I've always liked this style of baby hat, and finally got around to trying one out. It drawstrings at the rim, so it will fit about any size baby's head. While they are still young enough you want them in hats all the time.

A few Things for a SiL
My SiL and I do package exchanges every now and then, and now that she has received her package, I can share a few of the things that I sent to her.
The first thing I have, is a paper cupcake box. It was made from a design I found from this blog (click here). I was originally going to make about a dozen of these cute little cupcake boxes as party favors for my daughters 1st birthday, but one took me 3 hours and I didn't feel like investing that much time. But it turned out okay, not as fancy as the designer's, but still cute.
Continuing with my paper theme, I'll share this one next. A cute little owl "card" I made to write on, since she likes owls. :-D He has a flap at his forehead to help hold it closed. It's just layered construction paper, held together with rolled small pieces of scotch tape for depth.
And then carrying over on the Owl theme, I have a little owl pouch I designed, sort of the same design as the paper one I made. He has a button loop hidden under his head flap, and a button between his eyes. to secure closed. Not the greatest design, but only way I could hide it and keep it shut, since I don't have any Velcro or anything like that.
Up next I have a little case/wallet/purse or whatever you wanna call it. It's just one pocket. But it has some fish appliques, seaweed and a star fish. The purple fish is a Betta, and the Blue fish is an angel fish, but it kinda got sewn on all wonky.
And Lastly, I have a little cupcake pouch. I wish I had zippers, and better sewing skills so that this could be a zipped pouch, then it'd make a cute little coin purse. But I don't have the zippers, or the sewing ability for that quite yet.
So there you have it, the things I made for my SiL. :) I had more in the package, but those things weren't hand-made. :-D Happy Crocheting everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!
For Mother's Day, my husband got me the crochet book "Amigurmi World - Seriously Cute Crochet" and he let me sleep in today, even though it was a work day for him, he got up with the kids. So excited for my new book, I decided to try something quick while the kids napped, and I made a couple of the eggs. One opens, and one doesn't. The opening one has a little baby chick in it. I'll probably do a half dozen eggs, and get a little mini egg carton to put them in for my daughter's 1st birthday coming up on Tuesday. My son woke up from his nap, and found me finishing them up and was very happy to discover one opened and there was something inside. I'll have to snag the 2 back from him, after he goes to bed, and keep them up til my daughters party. :) At least I know it's a fun toy already. Happy Mother's day everyone!

Another Purse, #3
A lot of what I've made lately are surprises for my SiL and in case she sees my blog, I can't share them til after her package arrives. So those posts will be coming early/mid next week. In the mean time, This is a new bag up for sale in my shop. :) It's a design I've worked before, and one of my original creations. To view more photos, or if you'd like to buy it, check out my shop. :) I've got another design I was working on, that I am not at all happy with, maybe when I am less angry at it, I will share it.

Versatile Tote
I designed this bag to be versatile. It could be a project bag, a beach tote, a reusable shopping bag, a bag for toys, a baby clothes hamper, or anything else you can think of. It's made from 100% acrylic yarn. The base and top are made from double stranded variegated Cherry Chip red heart, medium worsted weight yarn. And the middle mesh part is Light Raspberry (aslo red heart). The base is circular, and very sturdy. So sturdy, that stuffed full of diapers (shown below) it will stand all on its own. This bag will soon go up for sale on my Etsy Store page.

Big Momma Bunny
I had a special request for a larger, bunny. And so I've decided the others are babies, and this one must be the momma. It took me a little longer than I anticipated but I'm happy with the final product. :) I went with the diff sized eyes, cuz they're my favorite. And the yarn is 100% acrylic, Red Heart, Medium Weight, Cherry Chip variegated. From tip of her ear, down to her rump, she's about a foot tall.

Adult Yoda Hat
Had a special order for an adult version of a hat I made for my son last winter season. If you're interested in something similar, let me know. I'd be happy to oblige. I also do Leia Hats. This hat, I actually shared the pattern as I wrote it with my SiL so I'm excited to see how her's turns out :). Check for it in her blog, under "some links" off the right side of my blog.

Baby Beanies
Made some Baby Beanie Hats. They're just basic beanie hat patterns, but done with cotton yarn, and used a smaller hook to make them smaller for newborns. To see more photos, check out My Etsy Shop, where they are listed for sale :)

Purses
Here's a couple purses. I designed them, and they aren't identical, but pretty close. Each has a small inside pocket, and either a detachable key ring fob, or a sewed in key claw clasp. I'll be listing these for sale later on tonight, in My Etsy Shop, buy them or just to see more photos of detail.
Recycled T-Shirt Yarn
I had been thinking about doing this several months ago, but got busy with holidays and never got around to making my yarn. Now i came across a nice tutorial that explains how to make your own T-Shirt yarn, so I though I'd pass it on to my own followers.
Click here to see how to make your own T-Shirt Yarn
I haven't made any yet, so I don't have a picture to share of what a ball of T-Shirt yarn looks like, but there's some pics on her tutorial, and even a sample of some finished work made with T-Shirt Yarn.

Company Stuff
So I decided to get some free business cards (just pay shipping) and then while I was at the Vista site, I found a rubber self-inking stamp, and a pen that were also free. I only paid 6 bucks shipping, and got the stamp, the pen, and the 250 business cards. The cards don't have any personal info on them, but I intend to primarily use them for my Etsy orders, as a sort of reminder to the buyer which shop on Etsy they got their crafted goodies from, in order to encourage repeat customers. Anyways, here's my stuff.
Bean Bag Easter Eggs
I made 5 bean bag eggs for my son to toss around. I stuffed 'em with lentils.
They are pretty close to life-size. A little on the small side, but I think that's because I used cotton yarn so it would hold lentils better.
With the lentils as stuffing, they're pretty squishy and I can grip them all at once, stacked.
Make your own eggs, and check out the pattern I used here:

Hand Bags
I've had these made for a few years, and finally got around to photographing them, and listing them in My Shop.
A couple don't have straps yet, I ran out of yarn in those colors back when I made them. Now I might have yarn to finish them, or at least coordinate enough. so there's not pictures of those ones individually since they're not finished.

Bunnies Bunnies BUNNIES!!!
So I've made a ton of bunnies for Easter. Some for my kids, and some for the kids coming to my Easter Egg hunt. And then Some for my Etsy Shop It turns out, that someone liked them so much, she's buying all but one, so there's only one more for sale. :) The yarn is supposed to be all the same size, it's even the same brand for all of them... But some of the dye lots seem to make the yarn thicker, while other colors seem to be very thin stranded, this makes them various sizes, so there's a few "runts" in the bunch. But.... without further ado, the Slew of bunnies:
